Dr. Monique Brown, MD
Monique Brown, MD, PC is a comprehensive care clinic. We provide General Medical care, Psychiatric care, and Aesthetic services in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. We were established in June 2007.
Dr. Brown provides comprehensive medical care that encompasses a patient’s entire well-being, taking into consideration the interconnectivity of her patients’ spiritual, emotional, and physical health. At her practice, Dr. Brown provides general medical care for the entire family, including physical exams and sick visits for men, women, and children. She also offers mental health and psychiatric evaluations, concentrating on her patient’s emotional and spiritual health. Dr. Brown understands the connection between weight and health and offers a weight management program she calls God’s Plan.
The family medicine and aesthetic practice is also equipped with some of the most advanced aesthetic tools available, including SculpSure® to melt unwanted pockets of fat and TempSure™ Envi to erase lines and wrinkles. Both tools enhance natural beauty without surgery or downtime.
Dr. Brown received dual undergraduate degrees in Anthropology and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with a concentration in Community Mental Health from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She completed her medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, where she remained for her internship in general medicine, her residency in general psychiatry, and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Dr. Brown believes God plays an integral role in a person’s health, and that spiritual and physical well-being directs mental wellness. She enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, and writing. She is an active church member and leader. She has authored three books with the theme of fulfilling the purposes of God.
She firmly believes that we should take an active role in the care of our community. She believes God cares for all of us and we should care for each other. We volunteer for multiple community events. She offers free healthcare to the uninsured and the underinsured. She is on the executive board for the Rocky Mount Chamber of Commerce. She is the chair elect for 2022.

Dr. Christina Stevenson, DNP, FNP-C, A-PNP
Dr. Christina Stevenson is a Nurse Practitioner (NP), who holds dual certifications as both Family and Adult NP. She holds the degrees of: Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Post-Masters Certificate in Nursing, Bachelors Science of Nursing (BSN) from the University of Mobile and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (B.A.) from Tuskegee University.She serves as an online course instructor in the Master of Nursing programs, teaching in courses such as: Nursing Research, Introduction to Professional Nursing, Advanced Health Assessment, Health Promotions, Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, and Clinical Procedures to name a few. Professionally, Dr. Stevenson has worked in psychiatry and primary care in the community, hospital, and correctional settings for over 7 years.Dr. Stevenson also does some work as a Legal Nurse Consultant, with malpractice and medical chronologies as a focus. With her primary interest in psychiatry, she completed a Quality Improvement project entitled: "A Patient Centered Approach: Implementation of Depression Screening Protocol using the Patient Healthcare Questionnaire-9 n the Home Health Patients."She enjoys church, helping others, as well as international traveling.
Christy Arnold, FNP
Christy is a native of this area. She has over 25 years of experience in healthcare. She began her nursing career in labor and delivery. During this time, she obtained her BSN from Winston-Salem State University. While working in the Medical-Surgical areas, volunteering in the community, and working with her church, her passion for health grew stronger. In 2019, she graduated from Walden University and obtained a degree in MSN-Family Nurse Practitioner. Her practice areas include pediatrics, adults, OB/GYN, and geriatrics.
She had a pivotal role during the COVID-19 pandemic by being a part of the COVID-19 Community Engaged Risk Communication (CERC) Project with the UNC-Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health to develop methods to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in a rural black, faith-based community. She also led the efforts of COVID-19 education, testing, and vaccines as part of her community connections with her church. She created policies and procedures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 that local churches adopted.
As a primary care provider, her goal is to provide exceptional care and guidance by utilizing evidence-based practices to focus on prevention, wellness, and the overall health of her patients. She aims to build long-lasting relationships through compassion, and respect, and provide health literacy through patient education and community connections.
It is her faith and commitment to God to live out the purpose He has for her. Without daily prayer and devotion, she can do nothing without Him. Her biggest role models are her late parents Elton and Earlene Coley. They taught her that she can do anything she puts her mind to and there are no limits to her accomplishments. She instills those same principles in her sons Jaylon, Christopher, and Christon.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her fiancé, Antonio, and her family and traveling. You can find Christy every Sunday at her church, praising and worshiping God.
